If art today can take place as a performance lecture, public discussion, film screening, or workshop in public space, questions frequently arise regarding corresponding functional and enabling infrastructures. Students of the class Experimental Design (Prof. Jesko Fezer) have developed an architecture, which parasitically uses existing urban situations such as stairs, bus stops, underpasses etc., and extends, modifies or expands them into new spaces according to the type of lecture, exhibition, and action. The encountered space becomes broken through the intervention into its everyday use visibly. By means of the mobile elements social spaces emerge, that can be described with a formal vocabulary of kiosk through info point to stage and that anticipates various uses in public space. Gvantsa Jiadze, Nicole Lichtenegger, Daniel Pietschmann, Merlin Reichart and Maria Dorothea Weis present their concept which oscillates between design and art in their talk in the Kunsthaus. In summer 2015 the mobile architecture will be employed artistically in various places across the urban space of Hamburg by students of the University of Fine Arts of Hamburg, the University of Arts and Industrial Design Linz, and Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture in Helsinki.
