Tor zur Welt. Mobile Architektur
Kapitel 1: Badegäste. Linzer Kunststudierende stranden auf der Hamburger Elbinsel 

Wilhelmsburger Platz, Veddel

Studierende der Kunstuniversität Linz haben für Hamburg ein künstlerisches Programm entwickelt. Ein Transporter mit Ballon ist auf der Veddel gestrandet und wird zum Ausgangspunkt für künstlerische Aktionen und Performances. Die künstlerischen Aktionen mit internationalen Gästen bewegen sich zwischen Architektur, Sport, Experiment, Werbung und Unfall. Der Transporter wird zum Vehikel für urbane Raumaneignung und durch die ballonartige Ausstülpung selbst zum Kunstobjekt. Zwei Haltestellen in der Umgebung, gebaut aus der mobilen Architektur in Kooperation mit der HFBK Hamburg (Klasse Experimentelles Design), informieren über das Projekt und die Aktivitäten.

Zur Geschichte des KZ-Systems Mauthausen
Gespräch mit Markus Rachbauer (Politologe und Historiker, Wels / Österreich)

Neben Hamburg und anderen deutschen Großstädten war Linz die alleinige österreichische Führerstadt und wurde ab 1939 zu einem Zentrum der Rüstungsindustrie ausgebaut. Markus Rachbauer stellt in seinem Vortrag die Geschichte des KZ Mauthausen in der Nähe von Linz vor sowie Politiken der Erinnerung an den Nationalsozialismus in Österreich heute im Kontext radikaler Politiken der Fremdenfeindlichkeit.

Filmausschnitte und Gespräch mit Djordje Čenić (Filmemacher und Musiker, Salzburg) und Adnan Softić (Künstler und Theatermacher, Hamburg). 

Der Dokumentarfilmer Djordje Čenić begibt sich auf eine autobiografische Zeitreise, die Mitte der 1970er Jahre im jugoslawischen GastarbeiterInnenmilieu in Linz beginnt und ihn in sein kriegszerstörtes Heimatdorf im heutigen Kroatien führt. In teils absurd-komischen, teils tragischen Episoden, die von kleinen Siegen und großen Niederlagen, von Heimweh und Klassengegensätzen handeln, gewährt er tiefe Einblicke in seine Familiengeschichte und illustriert den Spagat zwischen „oben“ und „unten“, der exemplarisch für Generationen von GastarbeiterInnen steht.

20:30 Uhr, Konzert mit Def ill (Linz)
Def ill ist Rapper, Musikproduzent und Mitbegründer der Band Fireclath Soundsystem. Er ist bekannt für seine „Subliminal Messages“ durch eine individuelle Styles und Doubletime-Technik, welche sich im Bereich von ungefähr 821 Silben in 1:20 Minuten abspielt. 2011 gewann er den Red-Bull-Wettbewerb Beats & Rhythm und war 2013 für den Amadeus Austrian Music Award in der Kategorie Best Hip Hop/RNB Act nominiert. In seinen Songtexten thematisiert Def ill politische Themen und solidarisiert sich mit politischen Aktionen wie mit der Besetzung der Votivkirche in Wien durch Geflüchtete im Winter 2013. 

22 Uhr, Finaler Wettbewerb im Armdrücken mit Preisverleihung
Auf einem eigens angefertigten Armdrücktisch sind Kunst- und Kulturschaffende aus Hamburg und Linz zu einem schweißtreibenden Wettkampf möglicher Maskulinität eingeladen.

Gate to the World. Mobile Architecture
Chapter 1: Badegäste. Art students from Linz stranded on the Elbe island in Hamburg

Wilhelmsburger Platz, Veddel

Students of the University of Art and Design Linz have developed an artistic program for Hamburg. A transporter with a balloon stranded on the Veddel and becomes the starting point for artistic actions and performances. The artistic actions with international guests range from architecture, sports, experiment, to advertising and accident. The van becomes a vehicle for the appropriation of urban space and by the balloon-like bulge becomes itself an art object. Two stops in the area, built with the mobile architecture in cooperation with HFBK Hamburg (class for experimental design) inform about the project and the activities.

On the history of the concentration camp system Mauthausen
Talk with Markus Rachbauer (political scientist and historian, Wels / Austria)

In addition to Hamburg and other German cities Linz was the only Austrian "Führerstadt" and was expanded in 1939 into a center of the armaments industry. Markus Rachbauer will introduce the history of the concentration camp Mauthausen near Linz and policies of memory of National Socialism in Austria today in the context of radical policies of xenophobia.

Film excerpts and discussion with Djordje Čenić (filmmaker and musician, Salzburg) and Adnan Softić (artists and theater maker, Hamburg)

The documentary filmmaker Djordje Čenić embarks on an autobiographical journey through time that starts in the mid-1970s in the Yugoslavian guest workers milieu in Linz and takes him to his home village in Croatia which was destroyed during the war. In partly absurdly comic, partly tragic episodes that deal with small victories and big defeats, with homesickness and class antagonisms, he allows deep insight into his family history and illustrates the balancing act between "top" and "bottom", which is exemplary for generations of migrant workers. 

8.30 pm, concert with Def ill (Linz)
Def ill is a rapper, record producer and founder of the band Fireclath Soundsystem. He is known for his "Subliminal Messages" by individual styles and double time technique, which takes place in the range of about 821 syllables in 1'20. In 2011 he won the Red Bull competition Beats & Rhythm and in 2013 he was nominated for the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the category Best Hip Hop/RNB Act. In his lyrics Def ill deals with political issues and shows solidarity with political actions such as the occupation of the Votivkirche in Vienna by refugees in winter 2013. 

22 pm, Final competition in arm wrestling with award ceremony
In a specially made table for arm wrestling artists and cultural producers from Hamburg and Linz are invited to a sweat-inducing competition of possible masculinity.
